Step 2 Counselling:

Counselling offers you a private, independent space where you can talk through the things that are bothering you at your own pace.

At your first session, you’ll meet your counsellor and they’ll explain how counselling works, and will work with you to understand what is bothering you and find ways together to make things feel easier.

Sessions last 50 minutes and usually happen once a week for a minimum of 6 sessions, however you can stop at any time if you want to. It's always important for sessions to take place in a private space where you will not be interrupted.

I have been offered counselling with Step 2 by my GP…(aka. Enhanced Access Counselling)

If you have been offered counselling this way, that’s brilliant! This is what we call 'Enhanced Access Counselling'. We have a mini guide to what it’s all about for you to download below – this includes how counselling can help and what you need to know to get started!
